look3, day 4
Andrea Douglas and the history of the Jefferson School, 150 years after freedom, lead off the day. The Veterans Book Project opened the door for David Alan Harvey and the 1967 story of "Tell It Like It Is," including a Liggins/Harvey 'family' reunion - an emotional high of the festival. Closing out the 7th edition of Look3 was Zanele Muholi, a strong South African voice and then - one last slice of Crozet Pizza.

look3, day 3
The reason to be a photographer was showcased today. Vince Musi moved from the wings to center stage, followed by Sally Mann reading & signing and Alec Soth took us on a trip around the country - small town newspaper photographer to fine artist. A break for fish tacos and on to the headliner, Walter Iooss. Shooting sports since 1959 was lost on many in the crowd, but his insights & technical expertise spoke volumes.
look3, day 2
Barbecue at Jinx's (for one last time?), including tales of old UVA and slow roasted pork from Paducah. Pictures of the Year (complete with baseball photographer photographing baseball), a good group at the McGuffey and Larry Fink. Hands full of ego involved in a wasted conversation.

look3, prelude
After a room change a road trip with Jim for food & wine. Props to Littlejohn's, Dave Matthews, Tom Jefferson & the Crum Pizza House, affectionally known as Crozet Pizza, for fueling our little reunion.
