scenes from a festival

Bill Monroe's Bean Blossom Festival is the longest running bluegrass event in the world and the last time I was here (1979), Lester Flatt was still pickin' & singin'.  The motor homes are bigger now, as are the people, but the music is the same - whether it's coming from the stage or one of the small groups gathered in the woods.  If you've never experienced bluegrass under the open sky, it's something to put on your list.
